Summary/Abstract: This text examines the issue of the female body and its objectification and devaluation in the context of online men’s groups in Telegram and their digital practices. The whole text triangulates between the problematic pornographication of popular culture, evident in the increasing commonality of sexualised bodies, performing sexualised labour on platforms such as Instagram and OnlyFans; the ensuing devaluation of the sexualized female body in Iluz’s sociology of negative relations, arising from the ontological uncertainty of the female subject in the digital age; and the asymmetric discourses and practices of constructing a hegemonic masculinity observed in the sharing and exchange of (semi) nude photos of youth and men. Through this triangulation I attempt to show how sexuality and sexual attraction, as ascribed qualities of femininity, leading to the devaluation of the female body and its sexual objectification, help to maintain and perpetuate gender inequality by legitimizing discourses and practices of hegemonic masculinity that start from, and continue, the subordinated position of femininity to them.
