REALİST HALK HİKÂYELERİNDE ÖTEKİLER: AZINLIKLAR VE GAYRİMÜSLİMLER
THE OTHERS IN REALIST FOLK STORIES: MINORITIES AND NON-MUSLIMS

Summary/Abstract: Realist folk stories; many of them written in the 19th century and characterized by a predominance of realistic elements, are prose narratives that differ from traditional folk stories. Hançerli Hanım Hikâye-i Garîbesi, Letâifnâme, Hikâye-i Tayyarzâde, Cevrî Çelebi, Tıflî ile İki Birâderler Hikâyesi, Kanlı Bektaş, Sansar Mustafa Hikâyesi, Safiye ile Yusufşâh Hikâyesi, Hikâyet-i Sipâhî Şâdân, Hikâyet-i Hüseyin Çelebi ve Nigâr ve Şâh-ı Huban ve Kıssa-i Boşnak, Cafer Paşa Hikâyesi, Hikâye-i Sipâhî Kastamonî, Şâbûr Çelebi, Ferdâne Hanım, Hikâye-i Temimdâr, Hikâyet-i Bağdâd Şâh, Hikâyet-i Beng-i Hallaç, Evhâd Çelebi, İstanbul Batakhâneleri, Hâzâ Menâkıb-ı Fil’l-i Hümâyûn, Destân-ı Kıssa-i Şâd ile Gam, Hikâyet-i Kızılalma, Hikâyet (Kadı ile Uğrı) and Hikâyet-i Mekr-i Zenân I-VI stories are considered among the realist folk stories. In this study, the situation of minorities and non-Muslims in realist folk stories has been examined. Ethnic minorities, slaves and concubines have also been included in the scope of the study. During the analysis of the stories, the most comprehensive sources on the subject, Halk Edebiyatı Araştırmaları, Kitab-ı Mensur Realist İstanbul Hikâyeleri (Metinler), Realist Halk Hikâyelerinden Tayyarzâde Hikâyesi ile Hançerli Hanım Hikâyesi Üzerine Bir Tahlil Denemesi, Tıflî Hikâyeleri, Masaldan Romana Sözden Yazıya İstanbul Hikâyeleri and Eski Türk Edebiyatında Mensur Hikâyeler are taken as basis.
