Summary/Abstract: This paper is about the memory of prominent Arbëresh philologist Dhimitër Kamarda, regarded as one of the forerunner of the Albanian National Revival’s activists for his ideas and efforts for a common language of Albanian literature, in function of the unification of Albanians, the author of before scientific monuments of Arbëresh culture: Test of comparative grammar on the Albanian language, Livorno 1864 and Appendix to the test of comparative grammar, Prato 1866. It is interesting to mention that commemorating this great on the 200th anniversary of his birth with the book entitled “Dhimitër Kamarda (1821–1881) - For an Albanian language 'universal and everywhere & other works", the well-known researcher Dhori Q. Qirjazi, thanks to the extraordinary work, appreciates cordially and gratefully all the scientific activity of Dh. Kamarda, published by Center for Research and Publications on Arbëresh on 2021. At the center of this monograph is the Arbëresh translation Fyletia e Arbënore prej kënëkatë të llaóshima, Livorno 1867 of Dora D'Istria's well-known essay The Albanian nation according to popular songs, Paris, 1866, through which the Albanian nation is exalted by Kamarda as a nation with an history and ancient language. The first part of the preface to the translation of Kamarda (Prekallezimë) resembles a literal program of raising Albanian language to the rank of its European sisters. The comparative analysis of the Arbëresh translation of Kamarda and the four later adaptations of Thimi Mitko were best done by prof. Qirjazi and are published in full in the first part of this monographic study.
