Summary/Abstract: Drug trafficking, which is seen as financial gain, constitutes an important source of income for criminal networks. Criminal networks not only strengthen their existence by gaining income from crimes, but also tend to grow. Differences in combat methods are seen as an important threat to criminal organizations trying to maintain their existence in this area. The concept of duty dogs, which has an important place in detecting criminals, is important in revealing crimes and crimes. These dogs are involved in important processes aimed at strategic goals in many areas needed to detect crimes. Suitable environments and conditions are created for task dogs to gain specialties. The preparation process is carried out with the help of instructors in the created environment and conditions. Special attention should be paid to duty dogs that will be prepared for security services, from birth until adulthood. Although the confidence level of dogs suitable for being working dogs is important, their temperament characteristics are also in a balanced state and the methods to be developed in this direction show how important it is. In this study, the importance of detector dogs in drug seizures has been tried to be explained by taking into account their types, the amount of drugs detected and their economic effects on criminal organizations.
