Summary/Abstract: The positive results of Turkey's intense struggle on the Balkan Route have become visible in recent years. Drug traffickers have started to concentrate their activities on the Balkan Route on the Northern Black Sea Route in accordance with the principle of safe route. This change on the Balkan Route can be easily seen when Turkey's drug seizures in 2000 are compared with those in 2001 and 2002. With this change; Developments in Afghanistan and Central Asia also have an impact on the increased mobility due to Turkey's intense struggle and the experience of law enforcement units. With this study, statistics on the seizures and quantities of drugs seized in 2000, 2001 and 2002 as a result of the ongoing fight against drug trafficking, which directly affects Turkey, were evaluated. The evaluations were made with the official information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Directorate of Security, Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department.
