Summary/Abstract: Vocational guidance plays one of the most important roles in the European Union context that is encouraging life-long learning, occupation, labor force and equal rights. Vocational guidance is relevant with economical and sočiai policy, with life-long strategically directions. According to this, the development guidelines are noted. In the Beginning of practical approach of Lithuanian educational reforms and vocational guidance strategy, the need of empirical research had increased. Thus, in April-May of 2006 there was empirical research "Parems" approach to vocational guidance at school". It was important to enclose parent's approach about vocational guidance and education at basic school in Lithuania. The purpose of the research - to explore parent's approach about vocational guidance and education at basic school in Lithuania. The goals of the research: 1. To set the privity of parents (of X-XII grade) about vocational guidance and the quality at basic school. 2. To analyze parent's approach about expression of vocational guidance at school. 3. To explore the opinion of parents about the effectiveness of vocational guidance at school. The methods of the research: 1. The analysis of pedagogical, psychological literature and national content analysis. 2. Structured survey for the parents of VII-XII grades in basic schools; 3. Statistical data analysis.
