Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to preparing students of 8th grade, of newly reformed primary school,for reading Adam Mickiewicz’s epic poem. The author points out that before reading a studentshall be given specific tasks and that their engagement in exploring the poem must bestrengthened. She proposes an idea in which a student prepares on their own a Book being aresult of their read and a presentation of the issue chosen by the student. While developingthe set of tasks the author examined Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences. While readingthe text the student shall focus on the issue most interesting for them and s/he will examinethe problem by employing their cognitive predispositions. The article proposes a set of sixtasks. In the summary the author points to the fact that the tasks are of various difficultylevels, however, they are not tiresome for the student; also fulfilling them is not beyond theirabilities.
