Summary/Abstract: In the article there are presented definitions of entrepreneur and entrepreneurship and historical development of these concepts. There is explained entrepreneurship process and its connection with small and medium-seized enterprises (SMEs). Challenges for small business and possible reactions to them – becoming entrepreneurial organization – are evaluated.
