Summary/Abstract: This study represents an insight into the universal character of the prayer regarding Saint Paul the Apostle from the point of view of the priestly mission, which opens a wide horizon on this work in the life of the Church. At the same time, it is highlighted that the universality of the salvation of the humanity through Jesus Christ, the Mediator between God and men, evokes one of the essential themes that comprise the first part of the Pauline letters addressed to Timothy. Therefore, we set out to identify the main research questions, as well as the resulting objectives, namely: What is prayer and what is its role in the life of the believers? What do the four nouns mean: “requests, prayers, intercessions, thanksgiving” viewed as a unit, which designates various modes of prayer? How does the prayer for all people reconcile with the counsel to pray for kings and rulers appointed by God to lead the peoples?
