Summary/Abstract: This article analyses poverty and social exclusion in the context of Goal 1 of the Sustainable Development Goals. One of the tasks in the article is to study the institutional framework of the country in terms of poor and vulnerable people. An empirical analysis was carried out in the paper based on Eurostat data, and a comparison was made between Bulgaria and the EU average by key indicators revealing the problem of poverty and social exclusion.
