Summary/Abstract: Perceived as a social phenomenon, the family evolves and transforms in parallel with social changes, having a deep historical character, adapting to the structure and norms of each era. Family relationships and the ways in which family members relate to each other represented, on a reduced scale, the relationships and relationships that were established between members of society at the time, family models being frescoes of the era. Contemporary Romanian society is still anchored in the authentic values that both the church and the fundamental secular cultural institutions of the state support, the Christian family being one of them. Virtual space and social media will become even more aggressive benchmarks in shaping family models, the traditional family will become even more anachronistic, and atypical models will become even more common.
