Summary/Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effects of agricultural incentives on employment in Turkey. Given the importance of the agricultural sector in the economy and its potential to create employment, the effects of agricultural incentive policies on employment are of great importance. Within the scope of the study, the history, implementation processes and main policy instruments of agricultural incentive policies in Turkey are discussed. The main objective of agricultural incentives is to provide economic advantages to farmers, increase agricultural production and modernize the sector. To this end, subsidies for input costs such as diesel, fertilizer and seeds, irrigation projects and various incentive mechanisms are offered to farmers. One of the main focal points of the study is to understand the effects of agricultural incentives on employment. By examining factors such as the general state of employment in agriculture, the distribution of employment in the sector and the level of education in the sector, the impact of agricultural incentives on employment dynamics is analyzed. The results show that agricultural incentives can support agricultural employment by increasing the competitiveness of farmers. However, it is emphasized that technological developments and modernization efforts may lead to changes in labor demand in the agricultural sector. In this context, assessing the effects of agricultural incentive policies on employment is an important issue for understanding the future employment dynamics of the agricultural sector and developing more sustainable policies. Future research is expected to examine the effects of agricultural incentive policies on employment in more depth.
