Summary/Abstract: In military and technical terms, the April Uprising was the best organized of all the uprisings and riots that the Bulgarian people organized during the five centuries of slavery. Vasil Levski's military-theoretical views are a major landmark for the actions of the apostles in the preparation and conduct of the April Uprising of 1876. It provoked violent protests by the international community against the violent repression of the Ottoman authorities and led Russia to declare war on the Sublime Porte.
