Summary/Abstract: The author exemplifies the new meanings of the word “lustration” in Russia (invitation to conformity, or religious fanaticism) with the exhibition I believe. The Cultural Optimism Project, organized in Moscow. The author considers it to be a king of reaction to the highly controversial and devastated exhibition of 2005, Attention, Religion!. Also the new ideology in Russia and the artists’ condition is tackled.
