The Law on Defense of the Homeland – a New Quality of State Security?

Summary/Abstract: This article presents considerations regarding the Homeland Defense Act adopted on March 11, 2022, which is intended to adapt the so-called military law to modern requirements and thus improve the quality of state security. The aim of the article is to attempt to answer the question to what extent the Homeland Defense Act constitutes a new and better quality of state security? Moreover, this goal is to develop conclusions and postulates, the implementation of which may improve the effectiveness of legal regulations related to the implementation of the obligation to defend the Homeland. The work uses the dogmatic method as the main method and the historical and comparative methods as auxiliary methods.
