Summary/Abstract: The media world is now entering a post-TV era, marked by algorithms as the basis for regulating information flows, digital platforms organising societies around their specific practices and institutions, and artificial intelligence platforms and tools. The omnipotent dominance of mass media – radio and television, which were the organising axis of our imagination and daily functioning – is thus coming to an end. The public broadcasters who have for years commanded the attention of millions of people are today looking for new ways to reach their audiences, who have turned to social media. In this article, I try to show how public media using the new technologies (internet, social networks, mobile technologies, artificial intelligence) are adapting to function in the post-television era.
