Summary/Abstract: Mediamorphosis, which we are witnessing today is made up of both of: the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting and the entrance to the information technology (IT). This applies to collection and storage, processing and distribution in digital technology, in terms of convergence of broadcasting, telecommunications and IT. In other words – by combining the attributes of radio and television, phone and computer. The critical point in the development of new media and internet was in the 1990s. In that time internet was introduced and became yet another powerful source of information and social communication. The paper is an attempt to answer the questions of how public service broadcasters adopt new technologies and to what extend the new situation is influenced by European regulation?
