THE SLANG OF DELINQUENTS. STUDY OF ROMANIAN LANGUAGE AND FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY

Summary/Abstract: The object of investigation of the current research is the slang of delinquents regarded as linguistic material for socio-linguistics, but at the same time as proof of verbal behaviour for forensics, awareness and knowledge of this language allowing a more accurate and efficient intervention for the reduction of the phenomena of social deviance The aim of this paper is to make an accurate presentation of the Romanian slang from an observational, descriptive and explanatory point of view, and at the same time to correlate the observations with the forensic activity, as it has the role of preventive and corrective intervention in the social life of a community. Thus the aim is constituted from the thorough study and development of the socio- and psycholinguistic fundament of the study of slang, from the systematization of the linguistic facts that were studied and from the updating of the delinquents slang inventory, focusing mainly on those items that cannot currently be found in Romanian dictionaries, recent words, jail slang, as well as on the recording of minimal linguistic dictionaries.
