Summary/Abstract: The last official periodical publication of ASTRA Association, „People’s paper”, was cancelled on 17th October 1947. Unpublished archives documents founded in the Ministry of Propaganda fund demonstrate unusual efforts made by the leadership of ASTRA to ensure the publication of „People’s paper”. The last stage of the publication, 1944-1947, was the most difficult because of political transformations appeared in the Romanian society. After 6th March 1945 the pro-soviet government increases political pressure in order to put under control the Association’s means of cultural propaganda. Those documents demonstrate the arbitrary censorship which was one instrument of the cultural renewal communist project.
