Summary/Abstract: The paper presents material about audiences of Metropolitan Pavle Nenadović with Maria Theresia, Emperor Francis Stephen, Emperor Joseph II, his wife Maria Josepha, and Grand Duke of Tuscany Leopold, during the Metropolitan’s last stay in Vienna in 1765–1766. Eight audiences are presented in six documents. The documents are kept in the Archives of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, in Sremski Karlovci, fund “A”. They contain important data on the talks with the ruling family, the attitudes of young Emperor Joseph II towards the Serbs, and the efforts of Metropolitan Pavle to defend the Privileges and the Serbs’ status from any potential attack, or any solution that was, in his view, problematic, and was already adopted or could be adopted by the Illyrian Court Deputation.
