Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the figures of repetition, more precisely anaphora, epiphora, simplocae and anadiplosis in Skender Kulenović’s novel Ponornica. The stylistic function of these repetitions is pointed out, as well as the fact that, along with many other different stylistic procedures, they contribute to the poeticization of the novel. The analysis of the novel revealed that anaphora is the most frequent of the mentioned figures and that all analyzed figures also have their connecting role in the text.
