Lexical and word formatiion analysis in the example of print and TV media

Summary/Abstract: The research was focused on the lexical and word formation analysis of TV-news broadcasted in Bosnian and Croatian language standard, and in hundred and fifty articles taken from «Hercegovačke novine» and «Dnevni list» (both printed in Mostar). The primary goal of observations was to determine lexical inventories which, based on the word formation model, were classified into the lexicon of the Bosnian and Croatian standard language. We also tried to determine the frequency of a certain word formation model, equally in both standards. We especially analyzed the employment consistency rate of certain nominal, verbal, and adjectival word formation models in both standards.
