Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on phenomenon of collectivization of agricultural sector in The People’s Republic of Bulgaria in 1940s and 1950s within images of post war Bulgarian literature. It deals with vast textual material covering three general streams of Bulgarian literature: the official one (under censorship of the totalitarian regime), the unofficial one (so called drawer literature) and exile literature. The first stream of the official production includes Ivaylo Petrov’s, Asen Hristoforov’s, Todor Riznikov’s and Atanas Mochurov’s novels, in which the collectivization is main topic. The study observes how the literary adaptation of the conflict theme was changing throughout decades within official literary discourse in The People’s Republic of Bulgaria. Other parts of this study concentrates on images of the collectivization in works of the unofficial and exile literature (Filip Dahilov’s, Toncho Karabulkov’s and Nikolay Levkov’s novels and novellas), which represented specific discursive counterpoint to the images of the orthodox regime literature.
