Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to analyse the connections among sustainable development, balanced action of endogenous and exogenous factors of the region and regional management. The global society connected with discontinual flows influences the contemporary development of regions. The possibilities of development are connected with the flexible response of management in regions and depend on the quality of management. The stress is put on the significance of neglected endogenous factors in connection with knowledge economy, whose developing element human capital becomes. The human potential development is an important element in the regional management development, especially in knowledge economy and the quality of its culture determines the regional development. The development of learning and human potential of managers should help to understand the connections of biosphere and specifics of nature and culture conditions of the region.
