Summary/Abstract: Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) play the main role in job creation and the general social stability and the economic development of the Region of South Bohemia. However, their development may be limited by failure of the labour market, leading to these SME suffering from typical handicaps. Small and medium-sized enterprises often meet difficulties in attracting skilled human capital, resulting from persistent unwillingness to take risks. Their limited resources may also restrict their access to information, new technologies and potential markets. In order to facilitate the development of economic activities of SME, this research is to help in personnel process and determining the direction for SME. The main aim of this paper is to describe the most important personnel processes which these companies deal with. To fulfil this purpose we have used the data obtained from the GAJU project 068/2010/S.
