Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the identification of principles of mechanical organization and the creation of the concept of mechanical organization. The paper aims to map the principles of mechanical organization to determine the extension of mechanical organization in the socioeconomic environment. This target is achieved by historical analysis, quantitative research and descriptive statistics. The result of this work is the indication of the three important principles of mechanical organization, including linear thinking in form of division of labour and specialization, a principle of command and control, bureaucracy, which are spread widely in running contemporary organizations, and the preparation of a model of mechanical organization whose core is the concept of man as a fragmented individual. It was found out by model implementation that the mechanical organization form is spread in more than a third of organizations and does not correspond with the current environment of organizations.
