Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the development of civil society in the “post-Maidan” period. The factors impeding the development of civil society, quantitative and qualitative parameters of social activity in Ukraine were analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the problems of interaction between civil society and the ruling political elite. The author defines the ways, mechanisms and tools to overcome the asymmetry between the ruling class and society
