Qualitative aspects of internal models in QIS5

Summary/Abstract: Internal models (total or partial ones) which insurance companies in the European Union currently use or intend to use have again become an object of interest of the Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors (CEIOPS), which has conducted QIS for the fifth time. The article presents the detailed scope of the study in the field of qualitative aspects of internal models as well as QIS5 results and their influence on the pro- visions of Solvency II Directive which are currently being improved.
