Summary/Abstract: Through this article we aim to highlight the importance of social and educational policies for promoting equity in the Romanian educational system. The paper also contains an investigative study aimed at evaluating the personality traits of teachers and their level of anxiety and the role that certain maladaptive cognitive mechanisms have in the manifestation of counterproductive professional behaviors. The data of the study were collected based on online questionnaires from 31 teachers from the "Kemal Ataturk" National College in Medgidia, Constanta County, Romania
