Summary/Abstract: This article is a review of the book 'Identity discourse of Ukraine after the Revolution of Dignity through the prism of the language issue' by Nadia Gergalo-Dabek. In the book under review, the author tackles the difficult language issue in Ukraine and its relation to the politics and society of the country. She starts from a theoretical approach concerning the issues of identity and nation in terms of contemporary social sciences and humanities, based on the notion of discourse and discursive narrative construction. Further on, the author addresses the areas of interpenetration of identity discourse concerning the language issue with politics and the public sphere in Ukraine. She also touches upon the issues of language change in the social sphere citing research and statistics. The work is an interesting and valuable item on the publishing market, especially for those interested in the issues discussed.
