Summary/Abstract: The article maps the trends in poetry for children at the present time. It focuses in particular on the cooperation of text, image and music. All these three components are pursued in experimental poetry whose target audience is the child reader. The issues of visualization, poetic experiment and musical interpretation of poetic text are described in the broader cultural context. A common feature of the interpreted collections of poems is their relatively high artistic quality. The category of the visuality of the text and the close collaboration between the text and its visual treatment are repeatedly taken into account. The issues under investigation require interdisciplinary overlaps. It is not only about the interpretation of the artistic text, but also about the possibility of interpreting the visual aspect of the text. In this article, the interpretive possibilities with overlap for use in school practice are described using selected poems from Petr Nikl's collections Slovohledě, Niklův Blázníček and Hudebníček.
