Summary/Abstract: The subject of the research undertaken by the authors is an individual case of a nine­‑year­‑old autistic girl and the opinions of the teacher, therapist and parents concerning the role of supporting an autistic child at an early­‑school age in functioning in a regular generally accessible school. In relation to the main problem, the article attempts to answer specific problems such as the learning and functioning of an autistic child in the school classroom, the methods and forms of work used by teachers and therapists in supporting a child with autism, and the importance of cooperation between parents, teachers and specialists in the functioning and overcoming of difficulties by an autistic child.
