Summary/Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic, which has been ongoing since 2020, has cau- sed very big changes in many areas of life around the world. The changes also directly affected society. As the number of infections increased and the pathogen spread around the world, the mobility of society began to decline. In connection with this fact, a study was carried out on the strength of the impact of the number of infections on the mobility of pedestrians and the mobility of vehicles for residents in Poland. The person correlation coefficient method was used for the research. As a result of the analyses, it was found that in the entire period under review, from 1 March 2020 to 31.12 2021, the increase in the number of infections moderately affected the decrease in the mobility of residents. The strongest relationship was recorded in the first two weeks of the pandemic. During this period, the correlation coefficient was -0.845 for walking mobility and -0.895 for vehicle mobility. With the passage of time, as people began to get used to the pandemic and vaccination against Covid-19 began, the relationship between the number of infections and the mobility of the population decreased from strong to moderate.
