Skills Development and Training in the Evolving Educational Landscape

Summary/Abstract: The emergence of digital skills and technologies has somehow impacted other skills acquisition in the overall learning environment. The present paper aims to disclose the learning models where skills such as communication, collaboration, adaptability or other essential skills for the modern workforce and society find their best home - as suggested by the survey carried out on a group of students from The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in their first year of study. Since the newly shaped educational landscape offers the possibility for blended learning to develop skills and improve training, the results have also taken into account students` opportunities to use online platforms to construct knowledge and complete their education.
