Therapist or Controller: Dominating Discourse in Organization and its Analysis

Summary/Abstract: Key members of organizations when making developmental decisions interpret, give meaning and legitimize the ongoing events through stories being told on made interpretations of developmental processes of other participants. Stories told by organization members lead to the interpretation and understanding of multidimensional characteristics of enterprise growth. The conduct going beyond the methodological rigour of quantitative studies is research interesting from a perspective of trial to contribute to extend the theory of entrepreneurial development. The method which allows to come closer to reach that ambitious goal is using analyzing approach of dominant discourse analysis in the perspective of Controller, Therapist, Messiah or EcoLeader. In this vein the article presents a primary analysis on the development process of an organization in the historical movement of discourse analysis based on the managers answers analysis included in the documentation of a big energy sector organization.
