Variation and Selection. Reflections from the Research

Summary/Abstract: The article is embedded in evolutionary rationality. That research perspective points three main processes of driving evolution: variation, selection and retention. The characteristics of the various evolutionary mechanisms are the basis for presenting the results of qualitative research. The main conclusions of the study are presented in the form of 11 theses and in the form of strategic profile of organization operating in high velocity environments. In addition, there are also identified the future directions of research in the area related to finding and understanding the logic of retention mechanisms, speciation and mutation, and the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in evolutionary dynamics.
