Summary/Abstract: The current year marks the 140th anniversary of the birth of one of the most beloved university professors who became a kind of an emblem of Bulgarian Constitutional Law – Prof. Stefan Balamezov (1883–1960). He devoted more than four decades of his life to legal science and teaching. Throughout his life and career, he remained a dedicated democrat who devoted his heart and soul to rights and the rule of law.His scientific and teaching activity has been preceded and accompanied by the occupation of various offices wherein he always demonstrated his political neutrality and, at the same time, his sincere devotion to interests of State and of the public.
