Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to describe the religious phenomenon Worship Night that has established in Slovak context from the viewpoint of linguistics. Using multiple methods, it analyses five different Worship Nights put on by five different Slovak charismatic communities (Koinonia Ján Krstiteľ Sklené a Prešov, Rieka života, Maranatha, Lamačské chvály). Worship Night is described and defined as a religious, music and communication event. The attention is payed predominantly to Worship Night as a communication event while describing five ways of dialogization: a dialogue of active and passive participants, a dialogue of active participants, a dialogue of verbal and non-verbal musical code, a dialogue of secular and sacral participants, a dialogue with a different type of text. The paper also includes a description of pragmatic aspects of Worship Night.
