“The Chronicle from Iași.” Professor and Archaeologist Nicolae Ursulescu at the 80th Anniversary

Summary/Abstract: On March 31, 2023, in Iasi, at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University, a special event took place for the archeologists’ community: The homage of the 80 years of life of Prof. Dr. Nicolae Ursulescu, distinguished professor of the Iasi University. The event benefited from the participation of an impressive number of former and current collaborators and friends. In Romanian historiography and not only, Professor Ursulescu is considered a pioneer in certain segments of archaeological research, having a broad humanistic view and an unlimited horizon on the science and understanding of life itself. He was and is received as a strong voice in the academic environment, his name being linked not only to the beginnings of archaeological research at the University of Suceava, but also to a number of important achievements in the field, which brought him a well-deserved national and international recognition.
