Summary/Abstract: This study aims to identify, describe and analyze the strategies of positive and negative politeness with pronoun as their central element, in contemporary Romanian advertising discourse. In specialized works, linguistic politeness strategies are generally presented, overlooking the significant role played by the lexico-grammatical class of pronouns. This is primarily specialized in negative politeness, considering the maintenance of distance from the receiver through the use of polite pronouns.
