Summary/Abstract: Among all the European Union countries, Poland was relatively the least affected by the effects of the global financial crisis. It was the only European Union member not to have registered a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) drop in 2009, although its key macroeconomic indicators were markedly worse than in previous years.
