Summary/Abstract: The article proposes an analysis of selected sculptures by Władysław Hasior, taking into account their performative and social functions. Writing about the performativity of Władysław Hasior’s outdoor sculptures, the author focuses on their intermediality, manifested in the artist’s constant search for new means of expression (elements, movement, action, sound) and the blurring of boundaries between artistic disciplines. On the other hand, her deliberations also include the social impact of Hasior’s sculptural projects - the artist’s methods of intervening in public space and building a dialogue with a collective. The author discusses the artist’s works in the context of the latest theories of performativity (Shannon Jackson, Dorothea von Hantelmann) and interdisciplinary research in the field of visual and sound arts (Gascia Ouzounian), paying attention to the innovative, ephemeral and spectacular nature of these works.
