Summary/Abstract: Barley is an important forage, technical, and in some countries even food crop. It is mainly grown for its grain. Barley is grown in temperate parts of the world. It is primarily an European plant. About 800 million ha of this crop are sown in the world half of which are in Russia and China. In Bulgaria the crop has reached an area of 4.8 million ha (in 1988), but due to some negative changes in climate and reducing the stock of productive animals, this area at the beginning of the XXI century has reduced more than twice. The aim of the study is to determine the main weed composition and economically important diseases in barley in the area of. Konstantinovo village, Varna province. To achieve the goal set two investigation tasks have been conducted: Taking into account the proliferation of weeds in barley. Taking into account the spread of diseases and pests
