Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article was to assess selected activities that are undertaken by the population in order to prepare in the event of an alarm siren being triggered and to assess the declarations made by the population in terms of their reactions that they will take when the alarm is announced. As a result of the study, it was found that the population does not take appropriate measures to prepare them in the event of a threat to the population communicated with the use of the alarm siren. The population does not have the current state of knowledge in this area, they do not know exactly how to announce and cancel the alarm, they do not secure themselves materially in terms of having things necessary for survival. In addition, it was established that when the alarm siren is triggered, the population is unlikely to behave appropriately. The main problem identified in this regard is the search for additional information related to the threat by the population instead of taking adequate actions in accordance with the recommendations.
