Summary/Abstract: This comparative study analyzes corn production and trade in Romania and Poland, highlighting significant trends, implications, and prospects. The central aim of the research is to comprehend the disparities between the two countries concerning cultivated corn area, average yield per hectare, export proportions, self-sufficiency rates, and patterns of external trade in this crop. The research method involves the collection and analysis of statistical data regarding agricultural production and trade evolution. The results reveal notable differences in cultivated area and average yield per hectare between the two countries, accompanied by variations in export proportions. Self-sufficiency rates have solidified in both countries, reflecting internal production stability. International corn trade has had a significant impact on economic development. In conclusion, this study provides a comprehensive understanding of corn production and trade in the context of Romania and Poland, bearing significant implications for the future development of agricultural and economic sectors in both countries.
