Summary/Abstract: Analyzing the condition of the global economy, we can see the impact of the events related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on reversing the processes of global economic integration. Research done on predictions shows some sort of global increase in optimism, though fears of a new, deadly strain of the virus still lingering, and that the prices of goods will rise faster than incomes. In the study, we see the scale of the existence and impact of the coronavirus and the related losses. The pandemic has had economic consequences that are grounded in changes at the geopolitical and social levels, which are described in this article.
