KRAJOWY SYSTEM RATOWNICZO-GAŚNICZY JAKO ELEMENT BEZPIECZEŃSTWA DROGOWEGO
NATIONAL RESCUE AND FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM AS AN ELEMENT OF ROAD SAFETY

Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the role of the National Fire and Rescue System (KSRG) as a leading entity in road rescue. The paper presents the functioning of the system, with particular emphasis on technical and medical rescue. The equipment for the implementation of the above branches of rescue during road incidents and accidents was also discussed. Based on statistical data, an analysis of the travel times of KSRG rescue entities was performed, reference was made to the required training among firefighters and rescuers belonging to the system, and the multidimensionality of actions taken, ranging from basic to complex specialist activities, was emphasized.
