Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to try to show certain specifics and to illustrate the scale of the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in regard to the global economy. After reviewing the challenges that emerged with the virus, we try to point out the shortcomings in the management of the crisis on a global level. Furthermore, positive examples are singled out, that is, certain measures (reforms, changes in legislation, the simplification of procedures, etc.) that had long-term, not just immediate effects and that could serve positively in future crises.
