Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the Polish periphery as a center of strongly manifested catastrophic premonitions about the approaching Second World War in the interwar period. The text also examines the opposition center-periphery from the position of postmodernism and comes to the conclusion that the created peripheries are gaining more and more importance, even beginning to redefine the Center.
