Summary/Abstract: Anonymous and individual creations transferred in oral culture can be diversified in the process of folkloric formation. These diversification means that the folklore product is more or less changing. For these advanced differences, the term variant is used. The term version is used for small differences during the repetition of the same folklore product. When we look at the works of Neşet Ertaş from the framework of the version term, we come across that Ertaş performs the same work at different times and in different ways. These differences are not dominated by the whole of the work, but in some music sentences and the intermediate nagme (saz section) parts of the work. These small differences do not change the identity of the work and do not awaken the feeling that they are listening to a different work. In this study, the version term is used to describe the performance of the same source person at different times and different forms. As a result of the musical comparisons we make in the lyrics of the two sample works of Neşet Ertaş, it is aimed to embody the version term. In this respect, it has been found that there are two versions of the work “Zülüf Dökülmüş Yüze” belonging to Neşet Ertaş and there are four versions of the work “Neredesin Sen”. There is no change in the lyrics of the exemplary works examined; Only melodic and rhythmic structures have small differences. However, these changes are expressed by the term version because it is not dominated by the whole of the work and do not cause the work to metamorphosis. In the study, previous studies on the subject of research were examined by reviewing the literature and sound-visual records in the digital environment were examined by comparison.
